Frequently Asked Questions

What do I wear?

Wearing underwear or swimwear that provides full coverage, or minimal clothing such as shorts and/ or singlet work best. Basically, minimal clothing that also suits your comfort level.

Receiving a Structural Integration session often involves spending time standing, walking, seated, reaching and moving during a session as well as lying on a massage table. We also want to be able to accurately track changes during the session and to access the fascia around the pelvis, ribs, spine etc.

How often should I have sessions?

It often surprises people to hear that the space between sessions can vary from person to person. Most people choose to schedule their sessions 1 - 2 weeks apart, while others space 3 or 4 weeks between sessions successfully.

It might seem counter- intuitive at first, but the space between sessions is a valuable part of the Structural Integration process. It serves as an integration time, laying groundwork for the next session.

It’s also important for the success of the series is a sense of continuity as each session builds upon the other, so a certain regularity is needed.

Most people find a schedule that works for them taking these into account and I’m always happy to help clients with this.

Is there any way of trying Structural Integration other than the full 12 - Series?

Yes, you can have a single session.

Another way to experience the series and how it works is taking a series of three sessions.

A Three-Session Series comprises of a balancing session on the lower body, the upper body, and the spine. o
